A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to non-existent email addresses under the same domain. For example, a message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from partners or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be redirected to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

In case you have a Linux shared hosting with our company and you wish to activate the catch-all functionality for a particular email mailbox that you’ve got in your account, it’ll take literally only one single click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to achieve that. A catch-all button is available to the right of each email address that you have created under any domain name hosted in the account. You can choose one single address per domain name by clicking on the respective button. This will enable the feature instantaneously, so all emails sent to misspelled email addresses will be re-sent there. Clicking the button once more will disable the catch-all feature. If you have enabled email forwarding, our system will display a warning notice and you will not be able to activate the catch-all feature until you remove the forwarding or you can simply select a different mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The custom-built Hepsia Control Panel that is included with each and every semi-dedicated server package that we are offering will allow you to create a catch-all email mailbox without any difficulty even in case you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to accomplish that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each mailbox that you’ve created using your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will notify you if you have already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding activated. In case you decide that you don’t need the feature any longer, you can turn it off by clicking again on the very same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
